Welcome to DJL Exotics animal experiences. We love reptiles and insects! You can book to join us to meet our wonderful reptile ambassadors at our 5* licensed reptile facility in Frinton-on-Sea on the Essex coast. You can book to spend a fun hour meeting and handling many species of reptile from tiny baby leopard geckos to Gerald our 6ft Dumerill’s Boa! Our reptiles are well socialised and trained, and they all have unique personalities you can get to know.
An animal experience is a great way to celebrate a birthday, or anniversary or to spend time as a couple or family. If you’re on holiday in Walton-on-the-Naze or Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, we are close by in the village of Kirby-le-Soken.
Your experience will be hosted by experienced reptile keepers and breeders, David and Helen, who are also educated and qualified in reptile studies and pet care. We’ll talk to you about the reptiles, how we care for them and how they live in the wild.
Animal Experiences for The Whole Family
If you’ve never held a snake it can be an amazing experience. We have some sweet and gentle snakes to meet if it’s your first time to hold a snake. It can be a really rewarding experience. We’ll help you with how to handle the reptiles correctly and can adapt the session for different needs as well.
We are 5* licensed reptile breeders and our reptile encounters offer you behind-the-scenes access to our reptile facility. We follow the animals’ natural life cycles. During the spring and summer, you’ll likely be able to meet our sweet baby snakes and lizards. Our reptiles are all super healthy, with great genetics and great temperaments. They all live in species-appropriate enclosures with plenty of enrichment.
