Went today with my partner and my youngest son and it was amazing. David was a magnificent host and knew so much about these beautiful creatures. Would highly recommend for not just for children but adults too.

Had a very enjoyable hour visiting the reptiles with my 3 year old. My son had so many questions, although most revolved around “what’s under there” for each enclosure, and the team were very understanding and answered him every time. We enjoyed meeting and holding lots of the reptiles. Highly recommend.

Took my 4.5 year old grandson here and he absolutely loved it. David was very patient with so many curious questions and allowed him to handle a whole variety of snakes and lizards. He was fascinated by the shedding of the snakes skin and was thrilled to be able to take one home !!!! Highly recommend.

Wow! This was exceptional. It’s a really interesting collection of all sorts of reptiles. Many of the species I have never heard of. So it’s much better than any zoo I’ve visited. The handling of animals was really well run. It started with the easiest animals and built your confidence and interest up and up. There was even “a therapy snake” - a snake that’s so good natured that she stays relaxed in your hands rather than gently holding on like the other animals. So not only is it great for curious children and adults, it’s good for those that are nervous.

We took our two daughters (aged 4 and 6) here for an animal experience whilst holidaying in Walton-on-the-Naze and had a wonderful time. David was very welcoming and knowledgeable and the whole place had a lovely calm atmosphere which we really appreciated. We all enjoyed handling and learning about the animals and would definitely recommend the experience to anyone. Thank you!

Really enjoyed today's 1-hour reptile experience for adults run by Dave and Gary. The information about the animals was fascinating and all my questions were answered. The animals were calm and I loved handling them. It felt like the workshop was run with their needs and feelings in mind. 🙂

I took my two children and their grandpa to a small-group, 1 hour Animal Experience and it was absolutely wonderful. We were introduced to a variety of snakes and lizards which we were able to handle whilst listening to a very informative and engaging talk about these fascinating creatures. It’s such an incredible opportunity to see these amazing animals up close in a private setting. The kids haven’t stopped talking about it and myself and their grandpa were equally captivated. Book your visit asap would be my advice!

Wonderful experience with a really knowledgeable handler, was really enjoyable to get a close up view on reptiles and being able to handle them was unique and would recommend for anyone interested in reptiles

This week my family and I have decided to get back into being a Leopard Gecko owner. After searching around for a breeder who had stock available and knew what they were doing, we came across DJL Exotics. After some excellent communication with David and Helen over Facebook Messenger, I was able to go and pick up our new addition today. Upon arrival, due to Covid regulations, I met David outside the residence where he handed my new addition. I had already paid via a very professional Paypal business invoice so nothing to hand over on my side. I spend the next 15 minutes talking to David who was really knowledgeable and gave me some great advice - around feeding, habitat, handling etc. I left with all the information I needed including a really nice touch of a card with their details on as well as the details of my Gecko - including DOB, Parents details, and morph type - kind of like a dog pedigree. I am 100% happy with my experience with DJL exotics, and have no problem at all recommending them. In fact, if we decide to get additional Geckos, these would be the only team I go to. I also like the fact that their website is up to date within minutes (mine marked as sold when I paid within minutes) and that when choosing which gecko to take, they were able to tell me all about her temperament as well as age / weight etc. Great job!
